Travel Packing List Don't take everything on this list!  (You'll hurt yourself.) The purpose of this packing list is as a guide to eliminate much of the anxiety when planning for a trip.  It was compiled from lists supplied by multiple travel companies, then customized for our personal use.  I recommend saving this on a home computer, then customizing it for your personal use.  Before each trip, print it and cross out items that don't apply to this particular trip.(example: You won't need a snorkel in the Grand Canyon or a driver's license in the rain forest!)  Check off items once they are put in the "to go" pile.   When you return from a trip, add items to the list that you wish you had, and delete those which are not necessary.  The list should be as comprehensive as possible, as it is easy to cross out those things you won't need, but you'll kick yourself if you forget something important.
